Thanks. This isn’t about one mine though, it’s about allowing mines without much review on federal land located in unincorporated areas of San Bernardino County so your letter has too narrow a focus and isn’t the topic on agenda… it’s a great idea if you want to address the agenda topic though!!

I'll adjust it and widen it, I feel the majority of the script addresses the issue as a whole.

The Trumpet is doing a great job informing the Basin about extremely impactful issues. This article prompted me to get a letter in to the LUS planning Commission just before the deadline.

Many thanks to the Desert Trumpet for alerting us that this was happening!!! I had no idea that this was even being discussed, much less that it was on the LUS-PC agenda for today. Happy to say that about 40 people turned out to the JT Community Center to comment in opposition to this policy change. Sadly, the PC passed it anyway, but all the pubic comment - both in JT and in SB - plus 98 comments that were sent in, were fabulous. Now this recommendation will go to SBCo Board of Supervisors for approval, so the public will have one more opportunity to comment. Thanks again to Desert Trumpet for tracking our public offices and for getting the word out to the community quickly. This reporting makes a big difference to our community. Keep up the great work!! ~ Beth Sheffield
