one thing i find frustrating about watching streamed city meetings is the audio portion.

often people, even council members, don't use microphones. the audience members who come to the podium, especially, turn or stand to the side, making their comments become mumbles at most.

i guess that's why it is best to attend the meetings in person !

Yes this is a constant frustration and especially bad if you're trying to report on city meetings. Compounding this issue, the audio is uncompressed -- in other words the audio level of the quiet speakers isn't increased and the audio level of the loud speakers isn't attenuated. Enabling audio compression may be a simple settings change -- I'll speak with them about it.

Maybe this is something we should be more proactive about requesting…perhaps 29 Palms Neighbors could do a graphic and start pressing on it. Huge transparency issue since there are so few covering local news, making it impossible to get to all of these meetings. The result is no reporting…
