As a resident of Twentynine Palms, I appreciate the City's inclusive policy around invocations. As a practicing Pagan, I applied to present an invocation at a Council meeting and was accepted to do so in May, 2026. Paganism is an earth-based religion with varied forms, rooted in many indigenous cultures.

Love the Youth Council's pivot to data-driven advocacy with the vaping survey. Getting middle and high schoolers directly involved in mapping out policy-relevant research is how you build the next generation of civic engagement. Saw something similiar in a neighboring district where youth-led health surveys ended up shifting the whole conversation around prevention funding. The fact they're tackling this now means results could actually inform budget decisions before the next cycle.
