REMINDER: PLANNING COMMISSION "STUDY SESSION" ON AFFORDABLE HOUSING, MAY 17 [UPDATED]
Single item agenda, no attachments
UPDATED, MAY 13, 2022: City Manager quote was added
The 29 Palms Planning Commission is holding a “Study Session” on an “Affordable Housing Project” on Tuesday, May 17 at 5pm at City Hall. The session was announced via a single item agenda, with no further information or attachments.
When asked for additional information on the content of the study session, City Manager Frank Luckino replied, “The discussion will surround the quantity of rooms, site planning, and steps to get ready for the affordable funding subsidies.”
In January, California rejected the City’s Housing Element. As reported in April, the State noted “a laundry list of omissions, including failing to provide data on how the City is furthering fair housing, not providing detail about potential links between affordability and displacement, and lacking clear goals and actions.”
