With half a million dollars in reserve, the TBID seems to have an excess amount to fund its mission. Any additional funds allocated would seem un-needed until they use what money they have.

The city manager seems to have too much power over city funding and other city issues, while the council seems only interested in generating more money for city spending on non-critical matters.

The city council never mentions any programs, funds, etc that aids the full time residents who pay real estate taxes that in NO way are spent on them. City sand roads are not maintained, Code Enforcement is practically non-existent . I think more attention should be paid to issues that would benefit the actual residents that supply the city with its funding.

Cameron Lutz is not a representative of Desert Beacon nor is he authorized to speak on our behalf. Desert Beacon WILL NOT be closing, and unfortunately this young man was speaking to information on a reduction of our operations which was discussed in confidence with Veno Nathraj, who claims Mr. Lutz overheard in their shared work area.
