if the TBID IS eliminated as was voted, I hope that $500,000 cash reserve they hold returns to the city.

these council meetings seem very amateurish and the members , along with city manager, decide something , then reverse themselves and start the same issue all over again.

As far as STRs needing to adhere to Federal ADA requirements, other cities and towns in CA and the nation must run into the same problem. it seems on a larger scale things must have been decided whether the rules must be followed or not.

It’s hard to say, I did see something in the 1989 law used to form it that left over revenues Ho back to the owners, even though the guests paid that money. But I need an attorney to see if that’s correct.

Personally I agree with Jerry’s comments on the last article. The funding mechanism is sound. But Council needs to replace the Board and management and provide better oversight.
