I seriously doubt that this project would create 300 jobs. Most of them would likely be temporary jobs, And pay the california minimum wage. Moreover, All things considered, Rooftop solar panels are the correct way to go. But corporations that rule our lives don't like this This procedure
To add another comment, more probable than not, I can regretfully vision 29 Palms -- and it's sphere of influence -- becoming A field of dreams For solar companies to flock to this area To gobble up land for massive California solar projects. Build this and they will come... .
Hi Susan. Would east of twenty nine Palms -- where there's a hundred miles with no services -- bthe better location? Sure there would be obstacles but it can be done. Of course.
That would be additional cost For corporations -- And we can't have that can't we... .
I don't see how this benefits me. I will have electricity no matter it's source. It's the visual blight and political power types that will benefit. I will not see a penny from this.
Roof top placements of this stuff is best, methinks. Especially when it wears out and goes to a landfill.
When the moneyed crowd and politicos are involved....nothing is sacred.
I'm appalled at this project. Profiteering corporations are already eating up the Mojave, its wildlife, incredible skies and silence. How can we best fight this? Who are our political allies in this battle?
It's not Going to get better is it Belle? The field of dreams for corporate enterprises has already began. Given the exclusive resorts proposed in wonder valley and along old woman Springs road, the The immense.
Airstream weekend rental eye soars Along YV/JT/62, the mega container village in 29 Palms 🌴 -- The Lear solar fields and, now, this proposed behemoth massive 123 acre Solar field is clear proof that 29 palms is here for the taking. And it appears the city council may acquiesce under the threat of possible state action.
Why are our most precious desert resources seemingly under constant attack from every carpet bagger and their backers with a 'gosh darned great plan'? Oh and now somehow the state is backing the play. 'Got lobbyists anyone'. Say 'Rooftop solar' everyone! I hope the council will find a way to manage this without giving in to these bullying tactics. The only reason we don't have rooftop solar is because the utilities don't want it and neither do folks like this group that stand to make a killing.

Corporations can't make huge profits for their CEOs and shareholders from rooftop solar. We are in the destructive grip of the wealthy.
Make that "annihilating grip"

A field of lost dreams.
The way things are developing soon 29 palms will be become a city of commercial solar farms and commercial over-flow for the Park glam campgrounds.
they are consuming all the land zoned residential and soon there will be NO neighborhoods of homes lived in by residents.
I hope the city allows this, for the good of all people and the planet.
Please be more specific about what "good" you see coming out of this ill-advised plan.
Uh, been reading about North Carolina recently?

Don’t disagree, Ben.
For the good of all people and the planet.

It’s not about you. It’s about the planet.
