Re: the “hundreds of letters” that Ramirez says that she received, these would all be available to review as part of the public record, right? Including date of receipt? Where can we find those? - Beth Sheffield
Hi Desert Girl, thanks for your paid subscription but we can’t post anonymous comments. Can you put your name on your substack profile or sign your comment?
The letters would only be a part of the record if they were submitted as public comment…it’s unclear if that happened. But you can write the Councilmember and ask!
Oh, sorry! I forgot. This is Beth Sheffield. Lazy girl that I am, I don’t want to change my profile, but I can add my name to the post. I’ll try to remember to sign any future posts. 😄
It doesn't make any sense to me to bring it back to city council when citizens were very clear during this meeting that they do not want this project. If there were hundreds of written comments, it does not seem like they were submitted to the city. Because they read a list of names during the meeting saying that those were the individuals they had received written comments from.

I personally know regarding this that an individual in town has filed a PRA request to try to see if these letters exist.

Very disappointed to hear this news.
April Ramirez needs to go-catering to outside investors over the citizens is disgusting, disgraceful and just wrong.
