The residents of the High Desert are confronted with a similar situation. The RoBott Land Company representatives, Steve Botthof and Nancy Ferguson, attended the Homestead Valley Community Council meting on August 15, 2022, and informed us that the 640 Acres plan in Flamingo Heights had been approved by the County of San Bernardino and is irreversible. They plan to start with construction of a large Glamping site. The residents have voted, written letters, made calls to no avail. When this is done traffic will most likely triple, making 247 the most dangerous highway in the state, deplete our aquafirs, increase human waste and endanger desert tortoises and other wildlife.
