City Council Candidates scheduled to participate:

District 1: Steven Bilderain and Carrie Williams

District 2: Jim Krushat, April Ramirez and Paul Razo

Moderators:
Cindy Bernard, Editor, The Desert Trumpet
Kurt Schauppner, Editor, The Desert Trail

Schedule:
3:00 Doors open, public fills out question cards
3:30 Q&A begins
5:00 Informal meet and greet with the candidates at conclusion of Q&A

Format:
Each candidate will make a two-minute opening statement, followed by questions from the moderators and the public. Public questions will be asked by the moderators. Candidates will each be given equal time to answer questions.

Two ways to submit questions for the candidates!
1. By email: editor@deserttrumpet.org. Be sure to include your full name and City Council District number. Email questions must be received by September 13, 2024.
2. At the event: Question cards will be available from 3:00-3:30pm.
Note: all questions will be screened for partisan questions, personal attacks and profane comments. Questions should not be directed at any one candidate and should be on a topic that all candidates are able to speak to. Anonymous questions are not allowed.
